Christchurch at night
(for family Pieters)
Christchurch at night
So peaceful and bright
The lights of that Town
Are like pearls on a crown.
So I stood at the hill
While the moon was shining
In the dark, dark sky,
The wind sounded still
Like a worried cry.
And when I looked around
I could hear the sound
Of a nightingale´s song.
And thought to myself:
´What happened wrong?´
But who can give an answer
To you and me?
Cos´ the life is too changeful,
That´s what else could be.
And I said: ´Good bye!´
To the brightened Town
Whose lights always remind muß
Of pearls on a crown.

Another Poem
Don´t ask me for the what and the why,
Don´t ask me for the blue in the sky,
Cause the world´s too difficult to understand,
And I remember the day
When I stood in front of you
And held your hand.
I cannot say how I miss you
But anyway, what can I do?
Don´t ask me for the sense of life,
I wish to be with you again,
I´m looking in the summer rain,
The thought of you hurts like a knife.

Don´ t forget ...
There´s something we never know,
There´s something that makes the snow,
There´s something we never see,
There´s something that makes us free,
There´s someone in the sky
And there´s something that makes us cry.
But there´s someone at the end,
A friend who always holds your hand,
Who knows when you´re in fear,
A friend who´s always near,
Who never leaves you too alone
And who´s the best for you to own.

When the night comes over me
When the night comes over me,
I´m sitting here and pray.
And I´m looking for a way
Cause there´s someone
With whom I wish to be.
When the night comes over me
To tear my soul apart
Will my love still burning be
In my lonely heart.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
High above my town.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star
When I feel so down.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
Where my heart´s at home,
When the night comes over me
And I feel so alone.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
When my soul breaks down,
Shine so bright and set me free
High above my town.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
Cos´you make me free
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
High above from me.

A rainy day
The rain is falling down the sky,
There is no sun to see.
We stand aside keep asking why
Is nothing there that sets us free.
There is too much to ask and say,
Because it´s just a rainy day,
A rainy day.
The rain is falling down the sky,
And pouring fields and wood.
We saw the earth, we heared its cry,
But never understood.
The clouds are big and grey
They just don´t move away
On this rainy day,
This rainy day.
